SURGICAL SERVICES

Frankfort Regional is proud to offer the finest in outpatient surgery services.  The operating area has six operating rooms and a cysto suite. The pre-op area has a dedicated pre-admissions testing nurse and a dedicated nursing staff for outpatients. The 10-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is staffed with professionals trained in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

At the Surgery Center, patients drive up to a dedicated entrance, are admitted, prepped for surgery, undergo their procedure, recover and are discharged -- all from a single area. In addition to the traditional outpatient surgeries performed by general surgeons, our physicians also perform a number of minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures.

Pre-Admissions Testing
For patient convenience, pre-admission testing is available from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is recommended that patients pre-admit 48 hours to 5 days prior to the surgical procedure. Physician’s office staff may make an appointment for PAT testing during the time that the case is being scheduled.
